Often using elements of pop culture for his reference, Sawyer has spouted out many brilliant nicknames for his fellow island mates. He seems to have a smart-aleck nickname for everyone.
Originally released in 1984, The Karate Kid took the nation by storm. It capitalized on the traditional teen romantic comedy genre with the addition of martial arts action sequences. The Karate Kid penetrated pop culture with its "sand on, sand off" catch phrases and kids imitating the "crane kick". It has all the elements of a smash hit.

Donnie Darko is drawn sleepwalking onto a golf course green by a mysterious voice and is confronted by Frank, a monstrous six-foot rabbit that only Donnie can see who often urges him to perform dangerous and destructive pranks. He was played by James Duval.
Patrick Swayze was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace. Gorgeous and strong, he was a real cowboy with a tender heart. He was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in late January 2008, and underwent chemotherapy and other treatments, and died September 14, 2009, at age 57.
