The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has just released the full Oscar nominations list for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards which will be held on March 7. This year, the Oscar Nominations include 10 movies in the Best Picture Category.

The Marx Brothers' second movie, filmed in a studio in Astoria, Queens. It has more than enough scenes of trademark humour from the brothers to compensate. It's also impressive that the film hasn't aged much, given it was made in the early 1930's. It does feel stagy at times, but the Marx's timeless comic style is still fresh after all these years.

This 1973 movie was the first movie to use rock and roll music all through the soundtrack. The film introduced such stars as Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Cindy Williams and Charles Martin Smith. It's has been 12 yrs after there appearance in Titanic and still, there a perfect movie couple. The story really drew me in and the acting was brilliant. They work so incredibly well together.

Enough good things can't be said about this 1962 movie. It is undoubtedly one of the best and most moving films ever made. To Kill a Mockingbird rises to the top of the pile easily. It is a perfect portrayal of childhood innocence, racial prejudice, moral tolerance and courage. No other words can describe this film except marvellous.

THE PHILADELPHIA STORY was Katharine Hepburns big comeback film in 1940. She's absolutely hilarious as Tracy Lord, mocking, insulting and making fun out of Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant. The film raises the bar in Hollywood movies.
