Although it was made in 1955, East of Eden has a power and impact that has not been diminished by the years. East of Eden was the first of the three films which starred James Dean. The film is billed as a modern-day story of Cain and Abel, between good and bad brothers with one of them feeling rejected by his father.

Our hero in the movie is Nick Gant, a young man whose father was genetically altered to be the perfect government assassin. He teams up with Cassie Holmes, a thirteen-year-old girl who can see the future. The movie was released Feb. 6, 2009.

I confess. I fell for the Shopaholic. Isla Fisher is charming, funny, adorably goofy yet undeniably attractive. Confessions of a Shopaholic is a rare gem that's worth the guilty swipe of a maximized credit card. Money isn't everything to Rebecca Bloomwood, but shopping is.

Clear and Present Danger is a great action/political thriller movie. Ford gives a great performance, perhaps his best. The movie has some cheesy moments and some patriotic moments John Wayne would be proud of.

Kristen Bell is cute, and so is her romantic comedy, When in Rome. But then so is her co-star, Josh Duhamel, and even Don Johnson in his dotage is lookin' good. That's what romantic comedies do. They make us believe in the magic of love and the durability of beauty, both of which elude most of us eventually.

From the director of zombie classic Night of the Living Dead comes this chilling film about biological warfare. Sheriff David Dutton tries to make sense of the situation while he, his wife and two other unaffected townspeople band together in a fight for survival. Fear Thy Neighbor!

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are obviously having a blast, and anytime they are on screen, the movie's energy and fun level pegs the meter. The break-neck pace can keep the audience guessing about where Cruise's character is dragging Diaz's reluctant heroine off to next. Kudos to the leads for doing many of their own stunts.

Sing the praises of J.K. Simmons who, in two hilarious appearances, makes for an appropriately befuddled chorus to the actions of Burn After Reading's various dim-wits, boobs, and morons. He's the film's genuine comic soul as CIA Superior. Adult Language.

My stepmother is an alien is a wonderful comedy packed with great jokes and great characters. Kim Basinger plays Celeste an alien from an other planet who comes to earth to try to save her planet with the help of Steve Mills. It is a movie that definitely grows on you with repeated viewings.

Amy Adams and Matthew Goode star in Leap Year, a romantic comedy that follows one woman's determined quest to get married to the perfect guy despite what fate has in store for her. This is a fine date movie, but enjoyable as well for those of us who fondly remember the sometimes funny, sometimes painful quest for a mate.
